SpaceShapes in Space
Part I: Create a composition on 18 x 24″, using any materials you choose. Composition must include the following:
- 10 Biomorphic shapes (should vary in size and shape)
- 20 Geometric shapes, (10 curvilinear, 10 rectilinear)
- 5 -10 implied shapes
- 10 planar shapes (remember planar shapes have flat surfaces, like a cube or a disco ball)
- 10 three-dimensional shapes (perspective or value used to make them 3D)
- Your entire composition should be composed of shapes.
Push the space: You can overlap, or obscure them, make some transparent and/or crop to the sides.
Strive for interesting, dynamic and balanced composition.
PartII: Critique at least 2 other student’s work according to the critique guide by replying to their post.
