Our teacher asked us to construct a periodic table for elements he’s come up with using Mendeleevs logic, and I have completed the descriptions of the elements– I just have no clue how I actually organise them into groups. To be more specific, there are eight groups that are used in Mendeleev’s periodic table, each group representing a different charge of valency (1+, 2+, 3+, 4 +/-, 3-, 2-, 1-, 0). The aim is to order these elements and then predict elements that have not been ‘discovered yet’ in this given set of new elements; and provide justification as to why this is so.*

I attached the resources we’ve been given, as well as the rubric and explanation to the assignment.

*for the justification segment, I don’t need fully written answers, just short explanations as to what should be written.
