  1. Ken Burns’ The Central Park Five depicts NYPD detectives subjecting 5 teenagers to aggressive interrogation techniques. In your opinion, should police officers be legally prevented from using the Reid technique on children? Explain. Be sure to use specific examples from the film.
  2. In Miranda v. Arizona, the U.S. Supreme Court asserted that custodial interrogation is “inherently coercive”. Do you agree with the Court’s decision? Do you think that issuing Miranda warnings sufficiently dispels that “coercion”? Explain.
