You will take two (2) risk assessments this week. A diabetes risk and cancer risk assessment. Examples of the submission are provided below…
Part 1 – Cancer Assessment (for this assessment choose one of the cancer assessments and report back)
1. Select an cancer assessment.
2. Answer all the question to obtain your result.
3. Save a screenshot of the results only as a .png, .jpeg, or .pdf and submit for credit.
Part II – Diabetes Assessment for Yourself
1. Click on Link to access assessment and answer all questions.
2. When you finish you can have your results emailed or click “View Your Results Online” beneath the “Email My Results” button.

Complete Assessment 12: Environmental Health Mapping
The EPA has recently launched an Environmental Justice Screen and Mapping tool.
Go to the following link:
1. Launch the EJ Screen tool.
2. Enter your zip code or an area that you spent a lot of time in. For instance, the zip code is 92019 which is the college zip code.
3. Next you want to go to the left side of the webpage and select “Environmental Burden Indicators” and a drop-down list will provide your options. Select one (I suggest Hazardous Waste Proximity) and a map will show that impact in your area.

4. After you selection and map will open. Take a screenshot of your map and upload (5 points). Example below.
5. Then post a Word or pdf document with your thoughts about living near the amount of hazardous waste around you. (5 points).
