Famous Figure Profile

Students will create an infographic with information and visuals to teach their classmates about an important historical or contemporary figure related to gender. For example, students can profile leaders of womens rights movements, gender diverse scientists or environmental activists, political or organizational leaders who promoted or advocated for gender equality, or individuals who achieved historic firsts. A list of potential figures is included below, or students can propose their own individuals to profile with Dr. EFBs approval. Infographics should include information on the persons life and death (if relevant), achievements, gender advocacy work or gender-relevant activities, important facts, and historical context. Infographics should directly reference at least 2 course readings.

Students can use any editing software they want to complete the assignment such as Canva, PowerPoint, Venngage, or LucidChart.
