As we approach the middle of the academic year, reflecting on your learning journey
throughout the course and in your developing praxis is essential. This reflective
assignment allows you to delve into your class experience, engage with the readings,
and revisit your journal entries. The assignment can be completed as a video, paper, or
recorded conversation between two students.
Please consider the following questions as you construct your reflective response:
Class Experience:
What aspects of the class have you found most engaging and enriching?
Were there any challenges you encountered during the class sessions, and how
did you overcome them?
How did your interactions with classmates and the instructor contribute to your
overall learning experience?
Readings:
Identify a reading or readings that left a lasting impression on you. What specific
concepts or ideas resonated with you?
Were there any readings that challenged your perspectives or prompted you to
think critically about a particular topic?
How did the assigned readings complement or enhance the discussions in the
classroom?
Journal Entries:
Reflect on your journal entries throughout the course. Have you observed any
patterns or changes in your thoughts and insights?

How did the process of journaling contribute to your overall learning experience?
Praxis:

Group Presentations
Each class will select x amount of groups based on size. Each group will be required to
present xx throughout the semester. The presentation should not only critically
analyze/summarize and critique the assigned reading, but it should also incorporate
contemporary issues when relevant. Each group will develop and at least three
thought-provoking & practice-oriented questions elicited from the readings and other
related and relevant sources for a facilitated discussion via whatever format you
decide (i.e., small groups, games, Socratic dialogue). Each weekly presenting group
should be trauma-informed – and give thought and intention to how they want to open
and close their presentatio
