Final: Macro Practice PaperStudents are to select one of the following topics: a. The Role of Social Workers in Policy Advocacy and Social Change: Explore how social workers advocate for policy changes at all levels of government to address inequalities. b. The Impact of Social Work on Community Development: Analyze how social workers can organize communities to address varying issues experienced by marginalized communities. Examine the effectiveness of different community organizing strategies. c. Advocating for Economic Justice: Examine how social workers engage in advocacy with communities and organizations. d. Community Organizing for Social Justice: Investigate the role of social workers in empowering communities. e. The Role of Social Workers as Leaders in Macro Practice: Investigate the role of social workers in varying levels of leadership and the impact on communities and/or organizations, etc. Provide the instructor with your selection of a particular area of interest covered in the course and the syllabus (a-e). The paper must demonstrate how the topic has impacted or influenced your understanding of social workers’ roles in macro practice.
