- Choose and/ or create a clip or series of video clips from a movie, TV show, or documentary for your case study. The clip should display a person who is either working on a behavioral change or someone who has an unhealthy behavior that needs to be changed (for example, a video clip from the movie Liar Liar that displays Jim Carreys character in the continual behavior of lying).
- Choose two environments (one different environment for each case study) in which the clip must take place (classroom, business, counseling office, home, or athletics).
*Suggestion: Choose an environment that relates to your chosen field of interest. - Use Tips on Identifying and Assessing Behavior (Chapter 2 of Applied Behavior Analysis: Principles and Procedures in Modifying Behavior) as a guide, as well as any additional chapters in the texts (do not refrain from utilizing both texts; Part 2 of Practical Resources for the Mental Health Professional: Clinician’s Handbook of Adult Behavioral Assessment may be helpful) and research.
- Detail the following items for each case (character/person from video clip):
- The identified behavior
- Stimulus conditions
- Extensively detail the type of behavior assessment that you consider the best options for this hypothetical case
- Extensively detail the behavior modification strategy you consider as the best option for intervention and treatment for this character/person
- Specific theories and techniques. (You may want to utilize more than one technique/theory)
- Appropriate research to provide supporting evidence for the strategy you have identified
- Insert a link to the video clip at the top of your paper
- 2-3 pages
- APA style formatting
- Double-spaced
- Minimum 3 scholarly resources
- Video clips of a movie, TV show, or documentary
