Sex Roles & Work Topic Selection & Annotated Bibliography (20-points): This proposal assignment is worth up to 20-points, nearly 1/3 of the total course project points. The following four requirements are the basic requirements and the rubric contains deeper detail. 1. Select a topic of importance to you that is related to Sex Roles & Work. 2. Narrow the focus of your study with a research statement to guide your research direction. 3. Begin by collecting 5 literature and other resources to include in annotations. The assignment requires: 1. Proposing a topic and developing a research question and hypotheses. 2. Finding five (for now) resources that include peer-reviewed articles and research sources such as found in the CSUN One Search tool, AAUW, peer reviewed journals such as Sex Roles, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Census Bureau, and any sources found in this course! 3. Create an annotated bibliography. Remember that annotations in this course assignment should consist of 3 to 5 sentences that briefly, yet concisely, summarizes the source you have found for this project. 4. All submissions should be scholarly and include a title page, running head, pagination, double spacing, 12 font Times New Roman, hanging indent for works cited and demonstrate a well proofread submission free of spelling, punctuation, grammatical, and language errors. Notably, APA, MLA and Chicago Styles are similar and may be used in other majors. Format * A research proposal describes what you will investigate, why its important, and how you will conduct your research (Scribbr). * A research proposal serves as a blueprint and guide for your research plan, helping you get organized and feel confident in the path forward you choose to take (Scribbr). * The proposal assignment must include a formatted title page. * Paragraph of introduction to your topic. 1. Research Hypothesisexpressed three ways : 1. As a one-sentence hypothesis 2. As a research question 3. As a title for your paper. 4. Predicted research conclusions. 5.
