STATE COURT JUDICIARY BRANCH GROUP PROJECT INSTRUCTIONS / RUBRIC

For this project, I want you to take a look at the actual website of the North Carolina Courts system, which is one of the several things included in this prior Module of materials:

Your task for this group project is to prepare a powerpoint presentation AS IF YOU WERE GOING TO PRESENT IT (but there is no need to coordinate an actual video amongst your group members, that would take a LOT of logistical effort!) to a small group of uncc students who are NOT familiar with the North Carolina courts! This means that your project which is LIMITED TO NO MORE THAN 15 SLIDES should cover the basics of the Court System as far as its different parts (maybe a little history), some information about how it works (numbers or statistics on cases heard, etc.,), the participants (different offices or divisions) within it, the types of cases heard and in which courts, and some interesting facts you find (whether about cases, or participants in the process, whatever you find that stands out to you as interesting to your audience perhaps). If you notice carefully, there are five main topics, and five group members…almost as if you could divide the work topically if you wished to do so…

The only other requirements are (1) a works cited slide at the end, and (2) a final slide with your best effort to create a group photo op with all your individual group members pictures on it! Of course this does not mean you meet in person; you just need to have your best artist make a collective collage of your group members!
