After completing the readings for this competency, you gained an understanding of the Diamond E Framework. Research the framework and assess how internal and external circumstancesmayaffect each of the different areas in the framework.
Choose at least one internal aspect (something from within a company) and at least one external aspect (something from outside the companys control) thatmayhypothetically affect the following areas of the framework and indicate why:
- Environment
- Resources Management
- Preferences
- Organizational Capabilities
Each area above must include an internal and an external circumstance example.
While working on this exercise, also consider how internal and external situations affect the Diamond E Framework. Your work in this formative assignment will help with your summative application of the general Business Strategy Model.

Summative:
You have reflected on the relationship between the strategy components in your learning activity. Using your own company, or a case study company, highlight and explain the four components of business strategy (goals, product market focus, value proposition, and core activities) the company has to offer in each of the components.
In an 4-5 page paper using APA format, you will give an overview of a companys goal, its product market focus, its value proposition (how will it intend to attract customers?), and its core activities that will make all of the components work together for the purpose of a strategy.
The purpose of the paper is to think about a corporations business strategy and the parts of the market they would focus on, a plan to attract that market, and specific actionable steps that would bring the plan into action.
This paper must be at least 4 pages not including the APA cover page. Four references are required. These sources would support your reasoning behind your steps.
