Journal Overview

The goal of this assignment is to help you identify key concepts and principles that will guide you through your kinesiology journey. You will use journal writing to explore key topics that relate to personal experiences and observations, allowing you to draw on your imagination to connect new information with ideas you already know. Journals offer you the opportunity to reflect on your world and expand awareness of what is happening in your life and in the lives of others.

Journaling engages active learning and allows you to clarify and reflect upon your thinking. When you journal, you can record ideas and feelings, special words, and expressions you have heard. You can also connect principles and theories to interesting situations that have happened to you or to people you know, allowing you to discuss the information freely. Journal writing also offers opportunities to write without fear, which is often associated with sharing your thoughts or ideas.

For many students, journaling becomes a platform for growth and a rich source of ideas for writing.
